Introduction

Bristle Research Foundation, is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered under the NGOs Act, 1990 in Kenya. Our mission is to promote research, innovation, training and development to reduce poverty in the society. We believe in nurturing the environment as a pathway to poverty reduction.

Bristle Research Foundation was established with the main objective of alleviating poverty through a multi-layered approach rooted in research, innovation, and exploration. Central to our mission is a focus on education, especially in the area of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), Agriculture, disability, drug abuse and alcoholism, education, energy, climate change, health, HIV/Aids Awareness/Mitigation, Micro-Finance, Peace Building, Population and Reproductive Health, Promotion of Good Governance, Culture, and animal welfare.

Other poverty reduction measures will include; promotion of Human Rights, Relief Disaster/Management, Relief of Poverty, Road Safety, Sports, Water and Sanitation, and Welfare coupled with imparting of digital skills, promoting agricultural technology initiatives, offering support for entrepreneurship, carrying out data collection and analysis, engaging in advocacy efforts and actively participating in policy initiatives.

Objectives

Our main objective is to promote the rights of persons with disability, environmental conservation, ICT, Road Safety programs, and welfare.

Specific objectives

The specific objectives of the organization is as follows:

  1. To access and reach the persons living with disability in the society, listen to them and support them depending on their areas of needs such participation and involvement in elections processes among others.
  2. To work with relevant organizations and institutions and international partners in  the promotion of political, economic, social, technological and legal developments to improve human rights welfare of individuals, groups and communities.
  3. To promote the productive career development of children, street families, homeless persons, the PWDs, less privileged groups and the general society through education of ICT.  We aim to promote Social, Economic and Political transformation through research, training and seeking funds, which in turn will support creativity and innovation. This will be made possible following the widespread and improved coverage of ICT infrastructure in the country.
  4. To promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth through research, innovation, and training on road safety to individuals, communities and the other less privileged in the society.
  5. To promote mitigation and adaptation of climate change for environmental conservation.
  6. To raise, secure and utilize funds for the attainment of any or all objectives of the Organization.

Stephen Otieno Ogutu is a reputable and multifaceted professional with expertise in Actuarial Science, Economics and Statistics. He has strong academic background and extensive research, consultancy and training making him a reputable professional in his field.

Mr. Stephen Otieno Ogutu, based in Nairobi County, Kenya is the Founder and CEO of Bristle Research and Consultancy Services Ltd. Stephen brings in a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Bristle General Services Ltd and Bristle Research Foundation and the University of Nairobi where he was involved in various research, consultancies, and training both as an employee and as a student.

Mr. Ogutu’s academic background includes:

PhD Candidate in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi

MSc. in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi

MA in Economic Policy Management  from the University of Nairobi.

Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi

Bachelor of Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi.
